Why the Celebration ???

I called my family members across Nigeria and everywhere was buzzy . Bottles of Champagne were being popped and merriment was over the air. I asked myself , “what are these people celebrating” ??

We wanted Buhari to emerge.Yes, he has been declared President-elect . So what ??
For me :
  • I will celebrate , when Buhari starts to fulfill the promises he made to Nigeria and Nigerians.
  • I will celebrate, when Nigerians starts to get good foreign policies
  • I will celebrate, when Nigeria becomes Africa’s leading Investment destination.
  • I will celebrate, when the small and medium scale businesses start to thrive and prosper exceedingly .
  • I will celebrate, when our roads become ditches and pot-holes free .
  • I will Celebrate, when Power stops to fail us.
  • I will celebrate, when the Judiciary system becomes reformed and injustice extincts .
  • I will celebrate, when our tourist centre becomes renewed and starts to give us billions .
  • I will celebrate genuine economic prosperity .
  • I will celebrate Social Justice .
  • I will celebrate  the day Ajaokuta steel complex becomes functional.
  • I will celebrate, when a low income earner can become capacitated to own a comfortable apartment to live in .
  • I will celebrate the day Nigerians ascend above $2 meal per day .
  • I will celebrate when the aviation sector becomes genuinely reformed. ( Nigeria Airways takes me to Heathrow Airport  and Lagos becomes a hub).
  • Haaaa…… I will celebrate when I finish my degree without any disruption .
  • I will celebrate when I get information on Medical reforms (when the Presidency and the likes of Dangote start to do their medical check up in Nigeria).
  • I will celebrate big time , when we become able to sufficiently feed ourself as a Nation and also assist the world feed well .

I am happy we voted for Buhari .
I am optimistic like my family members and other well meaning Nigerians .
I am happy about “the new democratic era” but truly , we can’t start celebrations yet …..

"A New Nigeria" is possible,if we all come together to achieve it ........

I remain a Progressive Nigerian Youth .
