NIGERIAN YOUTHS ARE NOT READY TO LEAD .........

Buhari is 72years old , he should be playing with his grandchildren in peace .
Tony Anenih is 81 ,what is he still doing in PDP ??
Obasanjo is 76 , he should stop forming boss and age gracefully on his farm.
These old men should give way to the youths !
These are the comments I hear from the Nigerian youth on a daily basis .....

First of all , I must say I am in my very early 20's , so I share a part of the uninformed sentiments every Nigerian express but I just want us to ask ourselves  some questions , perhaps we might be able to agree at a point .

  • We want to rule as youths, how many of us understand the concept of democracy ??
  • How many of us belong to a political party ??
  • How many of us understand how political systems operate ??
  • Perhaps , how many of us want to be local ward  councillors??
  • How many of the youths based in the major cities in Nigeria can correctly state their Indigenous States and Local Government ??
  • How many of us listen to the news, read the newspapers or get online news ??
  • My last question, how many of us are responsible ???
These questions sound funny, seems politically and socially outdated  but I must inform us that true leadership involves responsibility and  diligence .

Let us access ourselves .

The Average Nigerian youth is very greedy. All we want is to be  governors , senators , members of the house of reps, and the president forgetting the fact that political positioning take a process and a diligent one at that. (I know we must have inherited that trait from our fathers who are currently running the affairs).
Its not by magic , nobody will come to our fathers' house to give us a gubernatorial ticket.
Fellow Nigerian youths , We  need to work hard and be informed .

First is to make our voices strong and very audible to the Nations , then go to claim our rightful place..
Nobody is willing to give us what is rightfully ours by mere talks and rants . We can only claim it by Personal Involvement in the process and  intellectual negotiations...

All that most of us do is to take sides with a political party that we know has a higher chance of winning at the polls, then support them for the elections so as to get peanuts and after the elections , we go back to wait for another election .

We need to be faithful, diligent and responsible because true leadership is a great responsibility .
Also, if we do not want to end up like our fathers who only achieve personal riches (whom we are already having some their traits) , we have to be intelligent and selfless.

I remain a #Progressive Nigerian Youth.
