AN ELECTION IN THE LABORATORY .......................

A lot of people said this election can be likened to that of 1993 but in the real sense, 1993 is nothing close to this election as far has " pre-election" activity  is concerned.

This election has a lot of threat on the background than any election in the history of Nigeria.

:: Asari Dokubo called a press conference and stated that He is ready to ignite anarchy in the Nation if President Jonathan is not re-elected as the president of Nigeria.
He also said Crude-Oil lifting from the Niger Delta will become impossible .
With the way Asari sounded during that press conference, it seems He is really prepared for WAR.

Speculations are also going around that if president Jonathan get reelected, Boko-Haram will become deadlier and will be ready to take over government.

The Permanent Voters card is also a Bone in the flesh as far as this election is concerned.
People in the North are very well ready for the elections than people in the south because a commendable percentage of northerners have their permanent voters cards already . The implication of this is that the candidate that northerners support has higher chances of winning than the candidate that is supported in the south.
For Me , I believe a lot of us in the south do not like anything stressful or anything that Interferes with our normal day schedule unlike the northerners who can be willing to give all it takes to getting whatever they want .
Election Postponement.
Independent Electoral Commission has postponed the elections by 6weeks with the claim that the Chief of Defence Staff said the security apparatus are not fully ready for the elections. A claim a lot of Nigerians say is a trick by the President to delay his eviction from Aso-Rock  (I see this comment/accusation as unfair and highly sentimental) .
Come to think of it ; What if the Chief of Defence Staff ask for more time at the end of the 6weeks??

Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said on 11th Feb. in an interview on T.V continental  “This Government is too desperate to retain power” . A lot of other Nigerians also share the same sentiment. It has now become the talk of the town that President Jonathan will not handover power come May29th if he is not return elected. The President debunked the claim during the presidential media chat on 11th of February.

This is more than an Election ,it is the Test of Nigeria's ability to continue to be Nigeria.

This assessment of the Situation on ground as regards the election is really worrisome and all we can all do is to be hopeful and optimistic about the situation .
We need to keep Calm.
I also think praying for Nigeria in this crucial moment will help .

I remain a #Progressive Nigerian Youth.
I believe Nigeria has come to stay and no individual has the power to stop that fact.
